The first session will be focused on identifying your current language experience, proficiency level, learning style, and preferences. From there, programs can be individually tailored, or based on the following common structures:
Grammar is the basis of all language structure. Trying to learn a language without a strong grasp on grammar is like trying to complete a puzzle with circular pieces - nothing will logically fit anywhere! Grammar Boot Camp sessions will help you build strong foundations, clear up confusion from past lessons, and give you the confidence needed to move on to more complex language structures.
Most conversations with new acquaintances follow a similar pattern. The Small Talk program focuses on the simple but far from insignificant chats you're likely to have in the target language. Greetings, general questions, responses, basic weather phrases, and goodbyes all factor into the sessions.
If grammar is the blueprint for language construction, vocabulary words are the bricks. In these sessions we will focus on learning, pronouncing, drilling, and memorizing the 250 most common nouns in the target language.
Upcoming travel? Visiting international friends? We can put together a program that combines elements from Grammar Boot Camp, Small Talk, and Vocab Voyage.
Use it or lose it! Have you already put time and effort into learning beginner, intermediate, or advanced language? These lessons focus on maintaining and adding fluency via converations and readings. Content will be tailored to your particular interests.
For the gourmands among us, smooth resteraunt experiences may be a priority! These lessons focus on ordering food, paying a bill, grocery shopping, and other food-centric communications.
Just like your kindergarten class, but in the target language. No grammar emphasis. Songs, nursery rhymes, and extremely basic lessons are on the menu for this program which is designed to mimic learning your own native language as a child.

Individual sessions can take place in the client's home or at a mutually agreed upon public location in Beacon Hill.
The hourly rate is $130 for an individual, and $200 for groups with up to 4 learners.
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled with no penalty up to 24 hours before start time. Cancellations within 24 hours of start time will result in a 50% charge. No-show sessions are charged at the full rate. Invoices not paid within 5 days will accrue a 5% surcharge per day late.
Rates are payable via check or Venmo.
Emails are almost always answered within 6 hours.
